Hi, I’m Krissy from B.Inspired Mama. I was so excited when Jadah invited me to share an easy nature craft idea for kids with you. I thought I’d let you in on one of our Easter painting activities.
I love Easter, but I’m not crazy about decorating eggs. I would be if I could keep them forever– without having to blow them out. Because I just haven’t gotten that figured out yet. So we decorated rocks this year instead. They turned out pretty cute, and we get to keep them forever, too.
Nature Craft Idea: Painted Rock as Easter Eggs
First, we went on an egg hunt; an egg-shaped rock hunt that is.

Then we washed them up good and let them dry overnight. (This took hours and might have been even more fun for my daughter, Priscilla, than painting them!)
Paint Rocks with Q-tip Cotton Swabs
I put a coat of pastel spray paint on them and let them dry. Then we went to town adding patterns and color with our cotton swabs and bright paint!

Thanks for having me, Jadah! It’s an honor to be guest posting on such a wonderful blog.
I love this idea! I am a huge rock lover. Making these little pieces of holiday art that last forever creates keepsakes.
Thanks for sharing Krissy’s creative and fun great idea.
Love the idea!! How creative! I think we may do some painting around here this week
