Giveaway : Author-signed children’s books

children's books

As soon as I read Rachelle’s article about her love for the library and her favorite children’s book Birdsong, I knew I had to get my hands on the book. I first went to the library to get it, and I was out of luck (and I checked the whole county and there was nothing).

So I contacted the author, Ellie Sandall, directly and she pleasantly sent out signed copies of the book! And not only did she send Birdsong, but she also sent us Daisy Plays Hide-and-Seek. They are beautiful, fun to read aloud and very interactive for children. Ellie Sandall— you have two new fans for life! And whoever wins this giveaway, I’m sure will be hooked as well.

It’s your lucky day, Family Sponge readers! Scroll down to enter this week’s giveaway.

Those are beautiful books. Reading is our favorite thing to do in the house. The kids can get lost for hours in picture books, chapter books, comic books… I hope they love to read forever.

Very interesting that the author’s love of birds began while studying in Bath. I absolutely love Bath and books! What an inspiring place…
My 6yr old daughter will be excited about this book too – she is interested lately in trying to “study” birds. She throws birdseed out onto our lawn to attract the birds and tries to she if she can figure out what they are and draw them. Super cute!

I love Bath too. My husband I spent 3 days there in 2005 and had a great time. I would go running in the hills and just fall in love with the houses along the curvy roads. So beautiful there.

They look beautiful! We go to the library weekly and I always try to find colorful books with good artwork for my boys. As an artist myself, it’s important to find books with beautiful, engaging artwork to inspire a sense of wonder with reading. =]

I just started homeschooling my 3 sweet little guys! I am excited and nervous. We decided on a Waldorf curric and these beautiful books would be lovely to sit together and read 🙂 Good luck to everyone!

My 2 1/2 year old LOVES to be read to. Every before nap and every night before bed we read a book. I think that these books would be a wonderful add to our daily and nightly reads 🙂
