Inspire your children to read with this bright and colorful picture book by Mo Willems: Cat the Cat Who Is That. We are Mo Willems fans in our home, so we just had to give one away to a lucky reader! His illustrations are fun, his characters are so lovable, and your kids will love all of his book series. Cat the Cat Who Is That is the first book my daughter Zoe decided to memorize as you can see in this video here.

Providing your child with a home full of books and reading to them is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your child. When you read to them, read books one level above their reading level to expose them to new vocabulary. But also engage in simple stories with familiar words and characters like Mo Willems’ pictures books. This gives your kids an opportunity to memorize simple stories like Cat the Cat Who Is That.
