Zoe had a ball with the back of the mat using a dry erase marker while I prepped dinner. As much as I love to have my little sous chef in the kitchen, making dinner went by so much quicker while I cooked and she worked on her letter writing.
Once she was done writing, Zoe got to draw in the box that says, “Draw a picture about something you did today.” I just love how family conversations were started about her day based on this placemat. The placemat encourages literacy and creativity on the back of the mat, but it also teaches proper place setting on the front. So not only is it easy for your child to set the table (great independent learning skills), but word recognition skills are developed too. Seriously, I am so happy with this placemat.
